Sayulita Oasis | Your bed in paradise

Little magical town on the Pacific Coast

Sayulita offers you more than you can imagine

Sayulita is a very picturesque town, right on the Mexican Pacific coast, lined with sandy beaches. You’ll find it hard to put your camera down!

It is in fact one of the top choices for national and foreign vacationers alike when it comes to Mexico. It has also recently been rated the safest place in the entire country! It is not only the beaches and the surf that attracts people, but also the colorful and lively town itself with its many little restaurants, bars, food carts, taco stands, bohemian clothing stores and booths in the streets, jewellery makers, street artists and musicians. There are also an infinity of outdoor activities that you can engage in during your stay:

One of the most common practices is Surfing. You’ll see plenty of people walking around with boards wearing nothing but shorts or bikinis! There are several shops that offer rentals and sale of surf boards, equipment, clothing, merchandise, as well as lessons for complete newbies and advanced surfers alike. Due to Sayulita’s geographical location there is a great variety of points to practice this sport!

Also, going out to explore the nearby beaches such as Carricitos, Patzcuarito, Malpaso and our favorite swimming beach Playa de los muertos, is a great outdoor experience that you should not miss while in town. We offer in house “hidden beach hikes” including professional photography for super affordable prices to guests!

You will enjoy exploring the many restaurants in town, there is a great variety of meals for everyone, from a simple but authentic taco or quesadilla to the most exquisite dishes you can imagine. One of the oldest places in town, and right on the beach, is El Costeño, with its traditional seafood cuisine and its 7-liter frozen margaritas you won’t be disappointed! Don Pedro’s is also a local’s -and visitor’s favorite! Impeccable service and ocean views guaranteed! Also check out “Bicho’s” right by the famous Iguana tree in town. Their hand made quesadillas, fresh salsas and great prices top it all! An insider’s tip is Pizza Venezia. On the north side of town, away from the hustle and bustle, it’s hard to beat the quality and price at this authentic, Venetian run pizzeria. -Try their Tiramisu!
Besides surfing, Yoga is one of the most practiced activities in town. Sayulita Oasis offers Yoga sessions at our private, wooden Yoga deck with moon windows. Mats, straps and blankets available. Your can join our Acro Yoga jams as well! Ask for our schedules as well as private classes!

If you like nightlife, the main square is the place to be. There are several bars for all tastes, be it live music, house DJs, Salsa, etc. “Don Patos” is the place to go if you’re still out and about after midnight! “Barrilito” is a local’s favorite, great for people watching on their balcony facing the plaza. Yambak has great artisan beers and good DJs on the weekends. “Public House” is awesome with upstairs seating areas overlooking the busy plaza. Also, if you like Mezcal, check out the super cute “Cava” bar and while you’re there, peak up into the hidden “Chillum” bar right above it! If you’re not much of a bar person you can also just get a cold drink in the corner shop and sip it at the plaza and watch the skater boys showing off their tricks or you can just hang out on the beach and listen to the waves while the moon rises. So many options!

Another thing  you can do in Sayulita is to volunteer with one of the Eco associations in Sayulita such as the Turtle camp  or “Ser Su Voz” which is run by local expat Tracie Willis from England who also owns the legendary “Choco Banana” breakfast restaurant on the plaza. In recent years the ecological conscience has been awakened and the aim is to maintain the balance between development and nature. Ask us for more information and about how you can help.

But no matter how you chose to spend your time here, It is our goal that you have an incredible vacation and stay at our Oasis and we want you to return home with great memories of Sayulita and a big smile on your face!
