Is it easy to get there?
Yes. From the bus station in Sayulita you walk less than 5 min. to our front door. If you arrive by car please use the GPS / Google maps. We’re just off the main road coming in to town. Our host will either welcome you in person or provide you with detailed self check-in instructions if you let us know your time of arrival.
Can I park at the Oasis?
We offer free street parking for guests with cars. On approximately 350 days a year you will find plenty of space to park right in front of our property. Our guests have never had their car stolen or damaged. Smaller vehicles such as motor bikes can be parked inside. We are located on a dirt road just off the main street, and in summer months when it rains it might be muddy.
Do all rooms have A/C?
We do not rent the out door unit “The Loft” anymore, the house keeper and management is using it, so the remaining 7 units as described all do have A/C, so the answer should simply be: “Yes, all units have modern and silent A/C units.”
Will we be the only ones on the property or is it shared?
No, no other guests will be using the property during your stay, only the management and house keeping will be present. At night, only the house keeper in the upstairs unit.
Do you offer in-house tours and activities?
Our manager and professional photographer offers incredible hikes through jungle paths to explore hidden beaches. Don’t miss out on that! Those tours include a few professional photos. For specific photo shoots such as family portraits, engagements, weddings, etc. please send a message and ask for prices and availability. Special rates for our guests apply! For any other tours and activities we’ll gladly get you in touch with our favorite tour operators in town!
Do you offer massages on site?
Yes! We have a mini spa in the garden where we offer different types of massages, aromatherapy as well as mani-pedis by appointment. If you book for a week or longer you can get a massage or pedicure for free!
What about room service / cleaning?
To be able to maintain our affordable rates we don’t include daily room cleaning in our prices but we do provide cleaning & change of towels every 3rd day if you stay with us for more than 5 nights. You can also have your room cleaned any other day for an additional charge. Just let us know.
Is it a safe place to stay?
Sayulita in general has recently been nominated the safest place in all of Mexico. That being said, our property is in a residential area, away from the hustle and bustle and is very tranquil. We have mini safes in each unit where you can store your valuables during your stay for your peace of mind.
Are check ins flexible?
Check in time starts at 3:00pm but if the rooms you rent happen to be ready before that time, you are very welcome to arrive earlier! Just check with us a day before your arrival, we’ll know by then. If not, feel free to drop off your luggage and explore town or hang out on our property until you can check in.
Is it noisy?
Like everywhere in town, it can be, but isn’t usually. Sayulita Oasis is located in a quite area, yet there are other tourist accommodations nearby and a traditional mexican “Cantina” that sometimes plays music til late. Also, it depends on the unit you rent, the further from the street the quieter. Should you need them, we have ear plugs in every room for all our guests.
Is it far from the beach or the center of the town?
No, you can walk to the beach within 10 minutes, no hills or slopes and within about 8 minutes walking you reach the town’s center. It’s one road straight ahead. You won’t get lost!
Do you rent surf boards, golf carts, boogie boards or bicycles?
Yes, we recommend that you let us know ahead of time so we can guarantee availability as we have a limited number of equipment.
Is it pet friendly?
No, we don´t allow pets but the house manager owns a friendly cat who you may see out doors and the property manager bring their dog when on site. -A friendly one as well!
Is it suitable for events or celebrations/events or retreats for yoga or surf?
Yes, if you rent the entire property.
Are there rooms with kitchen?
Yes, most of our rooms have kitchens or kitchenettes.
Is there a pool?
We have a small, round dipping pool with a bubble system that can fit around 10 people seated. It is part of our common areas.
How far is it from the airport?
From Puerto Vallarta international airport, it takes about 45 minutes by car and about 1 hour and 15 min by bus.
Is there Uber?
From the airport to Sayulita there is Uber service but not from Sayulita back to the airport. This is due to the fact that Puerto Vallarta, where the airport is, is in the state of Jalisco, which has Uber service and Sayulita is in the state of Nayarit, where Uber does not operate.
Could you arrange the transportation to and from the airport?
Yes, just let us know and host can help you arrange a pick up, either one way or round trip! There are shuttle services that operate from within Sayulita with Suburban for up to 10 people.
How about drinking water?
Is it safe to drink from the tap? Some locals drink from the tap but we recommend you take advantage of our limitless purified water supply on the property, free for our guests!
Is there a supermarket or pharmacy nearby?
Yes. You’ll find both, and several of them within a 2-4 minute walk.
Are there ATMs or Banks nearby?
Yes. The Sayulita Oasis is located right around the corner from the town’s only bank with air conditioned ATM room.
Is there a front desk / someone on site all the time?
No. We are not a hotel in the classical sense, rather a privately owned vacation residence and we do not have a front desk or staff on site 24/7. However the house keeper Corinna is friendly and always ready to help, she lives on the property in the upstairs unit. You can also always reach our managers Camilla and Adil if you need assistance, gardener and cleaning staff are on site most days and we have all kinds of Emergency contact information in every room in the unlikely event that you might need it during your stay.
What is included in my booking?
Apart from the amazing surroundings and tranquil atmosphere you’ll be able to use Wifi throughout the property, hot water, a private bathroom, Yoga deck, dipping pool, hammocks in the garden and unlimited purified drinking water.
Do you rent golf carts?
We don’t but there are Golf cart rentals all over town and some will deliver them to you and pick them up again. Ask for our recommendations.
